For weddings I typically use Rent the Runway, but I lucked out with this sunny yellow Lilly Pulitzer dress at a local consignment shop in Portsmouth, NH. I love buying Lilly on consignment — I can get it for much less than retail and often find prints and styles that have been retired, just like this one! The dress was a little big, but I cinched it in with an old gold braided belt.

One of the things I really missed this winter was the walk into town to work in a coffee shop for a few hours. Working from home can get a little tiresome day after day, so its nice to have a place to go when I need a little change of scenery.
Its still a bit chilly, but I am so over wearing a jacket, so I layered up with a chunky sweater and scarf. One of my favorites parts about walking into town is all the steps that I get on my FitBit! At home and working out I wear the standard silicone band, but when I go out I’ve upgraded to Tory Burch’s new leather wrap bracelet. I am obsessed with my FitBit, but I just didn’t like how it looked with some of my outfits — now you can’t even tell that I’m wearing a fitness tracker!
Most of my friends, family and co-workers know how much I love my Fitbit. I don’t wear it every single day (I work from home), but I try to use it for gym trips, weekend outings, days I go into Boston for work, and most definitely when I travel. This summer in Paris I was able to track how much we walked, which totaled over 65 miles in 5 days, averaging anywhere between 7 and 12 miles a day and over 20,000 steps per day. Crazy! It made all of those salted caramel crêpes and glasses of rosé totally worth it!
So, I literally squealed with delight out loud when I saw Fitbit was teaming up with Tory Burch this spring! There are no actually pictures/photos of the products yet, but you can see some of the sketches here. If I know Tory Burch, this little tracker is going to get a super luxe makeover.
It usually takes me a few weeks after a trip to get my photos onto my computer — bonus points for me it’s only been a week! These pictures were taken the day we visited the Musée d’Orsay, which is in the background of the 2nd photo. The museum used to be a train station, which I didn’t know about until this visit, but looking at it from far away, it definitely looks like a train station! The Musée d’Orsay is known for its large Impressionist gallery, which just happens to be my favorite style of painting. We spent much of the day going up and down the stairs looking at all the different galleries, and then snapping some photos of the Louvre and Sacre Cœeur from the balcony at the top floor.
Doesn’t it really look like a train station from this view? I had no idea!

Last week I embraced the sunny weather and took some half-days off from work to head to the beach. I didn’t have much with me– no lounge chair, iPod, snacks, etc. It was just me, my sunscreen, a beach blanket and the sounds of the ocean! (OK – I did bring a magazine & a bottle of water too!) It was just so nice to relax and listen to the waves. I can’t wait to go back up to the beach next weekend! Although I love the summer and laying out in the sun, I do try my best to keep my skin safe! This big floppy hat is perfect for shading my face, ears and shoulders– which are prime burn areas for most of us!!
This linen & leather bag is one of my favorites!
