After being total lumps on the beach all day, we drove into Old San Juan one night for some shopping, sightseeing, and dinner. I’ve been to Old San Juan before, but it had been a while, so it was fun to see the fortress and elaborate cemetery. We spent the night wandering around the city and ended up having dinner at Triana’s where we ate some Spanish tapas and watched a flamenco show!
We sadly didn’t make it to the jungle (err… rainforest) while in Puerto Rico thanks to a mosquito virus, but it didn’t stop us from taking some pictures with it in the gorgeous background. This particular evening we were on our way to dinner and stopped for a quick photo op while waiting for our car.
I guess we weren’t ready for the camera with this one!
There was a little silence on the blog last week while I was on vacation with my husband and in laws in Puerto Rico! We spent five days at the amazing Wyndham Grand Rio Mar in Rio Grand, PR. We spent our days laying by the pool (with iguanas swimming next to us) or body surfing in the ocean (while losing our Cole Haan sunglasses to rogue waves).

I loved these water holes on the street
All of the Watson ladies in their matching AliKat tunics
Our swimming buddy… eeeeek!
