My favorite color has always been pink, but theres something about springtime that really makes me drawn to the pastel blush and rose colors. Even when I’m grocery shopping, I can’t help but pick up a pretty pink bouquet of ranunculus or tulips, and maybe a bottle of rosé wine! And just this weekend I just swapped out my red nail polish for a pretty pastel pink hue. Here are some of my other pink favorites:
Its the most wonderful time of year! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I wasn’t as excited about this year’s sale as I was last year, but after perusing the website and visiting the store over the weekend, I found a few things that I wanted to share with you!
I tried on this windowpane print dress in store and ended up ordering it in my size online. It has a detachable collar and I know it will look super cute with tights and boots this fall! I also loved this sweater with the open back and attached pleats but they didn’t have my size in store or online. Hopefully it comes back in stock before the sale ends! I’m still mulling over the grey cape — its just so cute!!
Nordstrom cardholders can shop the sale until July 17th — and then the sale gets opened to the public. If you’re a cardholder you better start shopping!! For those of you who aren’t card holders, you can still “window shop” the sale and create a wishlist while you wait!
Last weekend I took a drive over to The Vintage Bazaar in Salisbury, MA — an outdoor market that comes to town twice a year! Per the website they describe it as “Over 175 outdoor ’boutiques’ feature antiques, vintage finds , architectural salvage, rusty junk, repurposed goodness, indie crafts and one-of-a-kind artisans.” They also had a ton of amazing food vendors & food trucks and live music.
Doug and I wandered around the property visiting all of the vendors and came home with a few goodies! Two repurposed grape crates for our herb garden, a wooden birdhouse with a Panama license place roof, a silver ring made from a vintage spoon, a Turkish towel and a birthday gift for my Dad. Pretty successful outing I’d say!
I wore a cute denim skirt from Ann Taylor — I wanted to look nice, but I didn’t want to wear anything that might get dusty or dirty from poking around through tents full of antiques. I also made sure to wear some closed-toed Sperry Topsiders as I know that events like this in open grass fields can sometimes get muddy! My only complaint was that I didn’t bring a canvas tote bag to carry all my smaller purchases in!
I wear yoga pants most days while I am working at home, so when I need to get dressed to leave the house, I now tend to gravitate towards comfier pieces. When I saw these fancy pajama pants I knew they would be the perfect pants for the summer. I’m not a huge fan of shorts and sometimes jeans can be a little too warm, but these breezy pants are perfect for hot days.
In addition to my new obsession of wearing fancy pajamas, I’m also obsessed with Rocksbox! A delivery of 3 customized jewelry pieces sent to me each month for only $19 — I can keep the pieces for as long as I want, send them back for new ones, our purchase the items at a discount! I loved the Margaret Elizabeth cocktail ring so much that I purchased it, but I sent back the other pieces for new ones.
